Job Opening – Study Manager in Cardiology

The Department of Health Technology at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU HEALTH) is looking for a study manager to assist in the recruitment and management of a larger cardiovascular study. As a study manager, you should have a strong educational background at a bachelor’s level in biomedical engineering, health informatics, project management, and/or design and innovation processes. Prior work experience is not a requirement.

The job

As a study manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and coordinating the study using the Copenhagen Research Platform (CARP). You will be responsible for coordinating with our clinical partners at Bispebjerg Hospital, assisting in participant recruitment, ensuring high participant engagement, creating and maintaining the technical configuration of the study in CARP, and ensuring overall project management of the study.

You are expected to work closely with the researchers in the project, including technical researchers at DTU and clinical researchers at Bispebjerg Hospital, and other hospitals in the Capital Region (Region Hovedstaden (RH)) and Region Zealand (Region Sjælland (RSJ)). You will also work directly with patients and relatives while designing or deploying the technology. Hence, some travel within the RH and RSJ regions is to be expected.

Our expectations of you

You need a Bachelor’s degree (or in the process of finishing it) in a relevant field, like biomedical engineering, health informatics, or similar.

Your skills will match one or more of the following topics:

  • project management
  • biomedical engineering or health informatics
  • clinical experience (e.g., from internships)
  • experience with patient communication and recruitment
  • communication skills in Danish and English, both in writing and orally
  • qualitative study (interviewing, observations, surveys)
  • basic data processing and programming (Python, JSON)

Note that proficiency in Danish is a requirement in order to communicate with Danish-speaking participants.

Salary and appointment terms

The appointment will be based on the organization’s agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Prosa or State for IT employees in the state sector.

The job is part-time, 15 hours per week. You will get a contract for 15 hours a week, but the workload can be averaged over several weeks. You can have this job while studying for an MSc degree at DTU or another University in Copenhagen.

The position starts on December 1st, 2024, and is time-limited for 12 months with an option for extension.

Your primary workplace will be in the CARP lab at the DTU Campus in Lyngby and in hospital clinics in RH.
